The Domain-Specificity of Serial Order Working Memory Capacity: Evidence from the Individual Differences Approach

We investigated whether serial order WM is shared across the verbal and nonverbal domains or is allocated separately for different materials, from an individual differences perspective. The structural equation model with domain-specific item and order latent variables had the best fit, suggesting that separable serial order WM capacities.
