Abstract
Participants observed a cropped silent video of a female manager expressing concerns to employees: Faces could not be seen. Her beat gesturing speed was manipulated to vary her nonverbal involvement. Participants perceived her as less angry, less nervous, and warmer for extremes, low and high, of her beat gesturing speed.
