Abstract

We designed an emotional stop signal paradigm (ESSP) involving disgusting and neutral faces to study emotional inhibition in older adults (N=34). We highlight various aspects of functional connectivity to understand how older adults process emotion and inhibition simultaneously thereby providing partial support to the compensation hypothesis in aging.
