Abstract

Childhood maltreatment and later sexual assault (ASA) were assessed among college women and men. Both genders reported negative experiences, although women reported more experiences than men. General adverse childhood experiences predicted ASA among women and men. Physical abuse/neglect predicted ASA among women; emotional neglect predicted ASA among men.
