Abstract

We investigated Ugandan adolescents' gender composition of friends, and gender preference for activity partners. Adolescents most frequently reported having mostly same-gender friends and some other-gender friends. Adolescents showed preference for same-gender partners in many housekeeping, entertainment, outdoor, and interpersonal communication activities.
