Abstract

The study shows that pet ownership influenced people’s tendency to ostracize others and promoted tendency to accept others. Compared to non pet owners, pet owners have lower tendency to ostracize others. But the empathy levels can not mediate the relation of pet ownership and tendency to ostracize others.
