The Power of Parents Teaching Science on Sesame Street

Abstract
36 parent-child dyads' conversations in a science exhibit in a children's museum were analyzed. The results showed that parents of girls adapted their speech to their child's age. Parents used more observations with their younger child and more novel facts with their older child.
