Abstract

We present findings from an experience sampling study on experiences of social support and pain among 109 men living with HIV. Hierarchical linear modeling analyses suggested within-person (state) effects of social support on reduced pain. Between-person (trait) effects of interpersonal variables and cross-level interactions were also evaluated.
