Abstract

Results from an online study of journalists indicate that co-rumination has an adverse impact on symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Further, covering the Syrian war is associated with higher alcohol use. Findings highlight how habits of co-rumination and war trauma coverage impact mental health following duty-related trauma exposure.
