Abstract

Using two waves of data collected from undergraduates (N=438) over the course of one semester, relationships between school burnout, dispositional self-control, and substance use were examined via cross-lag analyses. Findings suggest school burnout plays an important role in substance use among college students as it works through students’ self-control.
