Test Anxiety Among First Year Nursing Students: The High Stakes Game of Perfection

Abstract
125 nursing students completed measures of anxiety with 75% scoring above the clinical cut-off on the Beck Anxiety Inventory; 20% scored in the severe range. No predictors of test anxiety were identified. Research on the relation of test anxiety, use of evidence-based study skills, and clinical practice is needed.
