Abstract

Participants underwent the Trier Social Stress Test and then spent 25-minutes either watching Netflix or reading during a recovery period. Analyses indicated that participants who Read exhibited a larger decline in blood pressure, but also had a greater response to the stressor. Reading may be a more effective coping mechanism.
