Abstract

This study examined the relationship of grit on stereotype threat susceptibility for math performance of female participants. Overall grit was found to be negatively related to overall susceptibility. This study presents initial evidence that grit may moderate the effect of stereotype threat, specifically through its impact on negative affect.
