Abstract

The study examined relations of theory of mind (ToM), general intelligence (g), and non-g factors. A g based on the ACT correlated strongly with a ToM factor (beta=.65). In contrast, ACT non-g residuals correlated negligibly with ToM, suggesting that g-ToM relations are attributable to “not much more than g.”
