Abstract

Participants (n = 35) were randomly assigned to receive embodied or unembodied emotion words/definitions (or control words/definitions) each morning on their smartphone. At post-test, participants in the embodied and control groups reported improved emotional regulation, while those in both emotion-word groups (but not control) marginally improved on emotion perception tasks.
