Abstract

Lying incurs a larger cognitive load than truth telling. A sample of 64 participants took a Sheffield lie test while their pupillary measurement and response times were recorded. The time series data was subjected to standard analysis of variance techniques but also to multi-fractal detrended fluctuation analysis showing significant results.
