Abstract

Our study examined whether people from different cultures hold different attitude toward suicide victims. The results showed Koreans having more favorable attitude and delivering milder sentence toward a suspect when the suspect commits suicide than when the suspect does not. In contrast, these effects were not observed among Americans.
