Abstract

Associations among childhood maltreatment, eating disorders, and perceived stress were examined in American young adult females. There were significant positive correlations between childhood maltreatment and eating disorders, eating disorders and perceived stress, and childhood maltreatment and perceived stress. Perceived stress mediated the relationship between childhood maltreatment and eating disorders.
