Abstract

Organizational citizenship and counterproductive work behaviors are key dimensions of performance describing prosocial and undesirable behavior at work, respectively. We apply moral licensing and cleansing theories to investigate the causal relationship between OCBs and CWBs utilizing psychometric network analysis. Results identify specific behaviors that cause individuals to seek moral equilibrium.
