Development of a Cat Care Scale for Use in Human-Animal Interaction Research

Abstract
The Cat Care and Needs Scale was correlated with measures of affection for and attachment to cats to provide validity data to supplement reliability and dimensionality evidence from previous research. The scale correlated positively with affection and negatively with avoidant attachment. The scale may be used in human-animal interaction research.
