Abstract
Students from Japanese and American secondary education systems participated in surveys measuring mindset, math specific mindset, as well as other constructs such as self-efficacy and perceived control. While mindset worked similarly within the two countries, the typical factor structures used show weak measurement invariance between them. Further models were tested.
