Abstract

We assessed how listening to personalized music playlists affects sundowning symptoms of older adult nursing home residents with dementia. By documenting significant improvements in six of seven sundowning symptoms, our results strongly support the implementation of individualized music listening programs to improve the quality of life of nursing home residents.
