Abstract

A two-motive model of job-hopping (encompassing escape and advancement) was evaluated across cultural and occupational contexts using invariance testing. Configural invariance results supported the generalizability of the two-factor model, but metric and scalar invariance results suggest the presence of some cultural and occupational differences (e.g., norms, beliefs) regarding worker mobility.
