Abstract

The goal of this study is to develop a mathematics self-efficacy scale for use in Asian contexts. In a sample of 1,572 Singaporean adolescents, results indicated that scale scores had strong internal consistency and convergent validity. Regression analyses suggested that self-efficacy scores made the most significant contributions to mathematics grade.
