Executive Function, Resilience, and Academic Engagement in Latino Children of Migrant Farmworkers

Abstract

We assessed relations between executive function, resilience, and academic engagement in a sample of Latino youth (N = 65) from migrant farmworker families using mixed-methods and SEM. Behavioral executive function tasks (Card-Sort and Flanker) were correlated, but only the Card-Sort was linked to resilience. Resilience was associated with academic engagement.
