Abstract

In a precued Stroop task, major depression patients showed reduced cerebral blood flow modulation during response preparation and stronger modulation after response execution than controls, in addition to longer reaction time. In terms of the dual mechanism of control model, this suggests decreased proactive and increased reactive control in depression.
