Abstract

The association of maternal executive functioning (EF) with positive and negative parenting behavior was examined. Maternal EF was inversely related to positive parenting; this relationship was attenuated with control of parent psychopathology. Conversely, worse EF was positively associated with negative parenting even with subsequent control of parent ADHD and depression.
