Abstract

This research examined the relations between neuroticism, perceived stress, and unhealthy eating (restrained, emotional, and external) among adolescent girls using a self-report method. Adolescent girls who are higher in neuroticism are more likely to engage in emotional eating (but not restrained or external eating), especially under higher stress.
