Pride Displays at Work: Validation of Video Stimuli

Abstract

We feel pride at work, but should we show it? We developed videos of three distinct pride displays in professional contexts; employees rated them realistic and frequent. Compared to happy, pride displays enhance status yet reduce desirability as a supervisor. Future research is proposed using contextualized pride display stimuli.
