Abstract
This study evaluates the differences between actual and perceived gender identification based on stress experiences of urban adolescents. Research interns selected the gender of 45 adolescent participants who submitted stories about their stressors. Results indicate a bias in gender identification based on the type of stressor experienced of the adolescent.
