Abstract

This study examined the effects of age and mortality salience on charitable donations. Participants (N = 123, Mage = 51.70) were randomly assigned to priming groups, completed surveys, and were invited to donate to an in-group and/or out-group charity. An interaction revealed age differences in charitable giving after mortality salience.
