Abstract

The current study explores the effects of media coverage on self-representation and cognition in police officers. Participants consisted of 32 veteran police officers who were administered personality and cognitive tests prior to and following viewing positively- and negatively-valenced media clips. Findings and implications for law enforcement are discussed.
