Abstract
This study utilized data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children in the UK (14,541 participants). Structural equation modeling established that socioeconomic status predicted participation in prosocial, sporting, and academic extra-curricular activities. Furthermore, these activities acted as significant mediators between socioeconomic status and education outcomes.
