Abstract

The present study analyzed the relationship between susceptibility to the misinformation effect and the specificity of one’s autobiographical memories. Participants showed a typical misinformation effect by falsely recognizing suggested items as being in an original video, but the magnitude of this effect was not significantly related to autobiographical memory specificity.
