Abstract

We examined the source of men’s superior performance in a spatial video game, finding large sex differences that diminished with training. Behaviors, not spatial ability, accounted for performance differences and reduction of the performance gap. Results highlight the benefit of focusing on behaviors and strategy to explain sex differences.
