Individual Perceptions of Attributes Moderates Decoy Effect on Hiring Decisions

Abstract
The practical limits of the Decoy effect were tested for hiring decisions. Although the results strongly supported that the decoy effect influences personnel decisions the effect is moderated both by the perceived demands of the occupation or respondents’ general preferences for specific work traits.
