Time Warped: Physician Warmth & Competence Relate to Extended Patient Perceptions of Consultation Time

Abstract
Though a medical provider always conducted a 10-minute long health screening, when participants felt their provider was warmer and more competent, they estimated the provider spent more minutes with them and rated this time as more sufficient. The results address concerns that insufficient consultation time hurts patient health outcomes.
