Effects of Sunk Time and Project Completion on Decisions to Continue

Abstract

A previous finding of a sunk time effect may be the result of confounding sunk time with completion. We manipulated sunk time and completion, but found no significant effect for either. However, decisions to continue were more strongly related to nearness of the project to completion than to sunk time.
