Nudge O'clock: Using Behavioral Insights to Increase Attendance at Annual Checkups

Abstract
Non-attendance at medical appointments have substantial implications for public health and economic policies. Addressing simple biases has been effective in general populations. Two waves of generic and tailored nudges for a low-income, minority community in New York City, showed large effects for reminders, disclosure, social norms, and loss-aversion/gain-framing.
