Abstract

We examined the relationship between parenting styles, frequency of online health information seeking, and online health literacy skills among early (ages 13–15) and late (ages 16–18) adolescents. Findings indicated that authoritarian and permissive parenting styles predicted online health information seeking, while authoritative parenting predicted online health literacy skills.
