Abstract

Autobiographical memories contribute to continuity of the self-concept. The fading affect bias (FAB) occurs when emotion associated with negative memories fades faster than emotion for positive memories. The relationship between cannabis use, autobiographical memories, and the FAB was explored. Cannabis use was associated with overgeneral memory and disrupted affect fading.
