Abstract

This study aimed to understand how parental emotion regulation strategies and parenting behaviors predict the development of reduced child internalizing symptoms in the context of homelessness. Results suggest that parents’ use of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies in combination with lower parenting quality is related to increased child internalizing symptoms.
