Why Is It Hard for Environmentalist Not to Drive? a Norm Approach to Sustainable Urban Transport

The current study takes a norm approach to understand the disjoint between environmental-friendly attitudes and behaviours through understanding Singaporeans choice of transportation in their daily commute. Our results showed that, self-proclaimed environmentalist only commit environmental-friendly behaviour when they are alone and not with others, highlighting the importance of social norms.
