Attachment and Social Cognition in Adolescent Social Media Use

Abstract
This study presents and tests a new attachment-based model of social media use in adolescents (N = 76). Results indicated that insecure attachment was associated with anomalous social cognition, which, in turn, was associated with distressing online behavior including increased social comparison and feedback seeking.
