Abstract

Participants saw prose passages written by an instructor or displayed via PowerPoint. Those in the embodied condition recalled more than those in control conditions and did better on the comprehension task than short-duration participants. Embodied presentation influences recall. For comprehension, embodied presentation and extended study time may provide equal benefits.
