Abstract

This study explored myth-debunking mechanisms pertaining to GMO health misconceptions. Participants rated strength of beliefs and read about GMO’s in one of five conditions. The study provided evidence that some change may occur given any reading, and activating the myth is not as effective as refuting the claim.
