Abstract

Experience-sampling intervention studies used mobile technology to send positive (vs. neutral) emotion cues to participants daily. Those who received positive (vs. neutral) emotion cues showed: increases in cognitive dialecticism (Study 1); fewer physical health symptoms and greater social connectedness (Study 2); and increases in self-regulation following ego-depletion (Study 3).
