Abstract

The comorbidity of depression and anxiety symptoms with tobacco use remains a public health concern. We sought to analyze the association between self-reported symptoms of depression/anxiety and 30-day smoking cessation at 8 week follow-up. The degree of depression or anxiety symptoms experienced at follow-up was significantly correlated with continued smoking.
