Abstract
Eighty-eight undergraduates from separated/divorced families completed the Parental Bonding Instrument, the Relationship Questionnaire, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Results indicate paternal care/overprotection is unrelated to attachment style or self-esteem while maternal overprotection is associated with increased self-esteem. Additionally, self-esteem level is related to attachment.
