Relationships Between Digital Media Use, Grades, and Psychological Well-Being in School Children

Four hundred and fifty-two elementary and middle school students were surveyed about their digital media use. Cell phone and social media use increased significantly between third and eighth grades (especially for girls), as did computer use (only for boys). Digital media use was negatively correlated with grades and psychological well-being
